How it Works
Once the software is installed on the customer's PC or mobile, it automatically retrieves updates of the most recent interval data from the utility's meter data management system.
View current household energy use in real-time on your PC or browser. See your home energy use and get immediate feedback on any changes. Includes historical day, week or month views to better understand how you use energy.
This SmartHome Live is available for utilities with Zigbee-compliant Smart Meters that want to offer real-time feedback that provides a friendly, low-cost alternative or addition to an In-Home-Display.
How it Works
A low cost Zigbee USB dongle is used to connect the Home PC to the home network. This enables the customer to receive a live feed from the smart meter and view current energy consumption and cost information.
Once the software and the Zigbee USB dongle are installed on the customer's home PC, SmartHome automatically retrieves current consumption from the home's smart meter, providing real-time home consumption and cost information.
SmartHome Pro enables consumers to monitor individual appliances within the home in addition to the total household data from the Smart Meter. This option provides consumers with energy & cost data on specific devices so that they can clearly see a breakdown of their energy use.
The ListView (shown here) displays a highest-to-lowest view of the appliances based on the currently selected time period (e.g, Day, Week, or Month).
How it Works
SmartHome Pro builds on the Zigbee based Home Area Network by adding individual energy sensors to specific outlets or electrical circuits within the home.
